Padre Is Now Called Terminal — What Changed and What Didn't

If you've used this trading terminal before and noticed the name "Terminal" showing up instead of "Padre," you haven't landed on the wrong site — the product was renamed. Here's what actually changed and what didn't.

What happened

In October 2025, Pump.fun acquired Padre, the multi-chain trading terminal covering Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain. As part of the acquisition, the app itself was rebranded from "Padre" to "Terminal" — the same trading interface, discovery tools and execution engine, now under new ownership and a new name.

What stayed the same

Self-custody model — you still connect your own wallet; the platform never takes custody of your funds.
Multi-chain support — Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain trading all continued under the new name.
Core tools — Trenches, New Pairs, Trending, limit orders, stop loss/take profit, and wallet tracking all carried over.
The cashback/referral program — fee rebates continued to work the same way after the rename.

What changed

The name and branding — "Padre" became "Terminal" across the app and documentation.
Ownership — the product is now operated under Pump.fun rather than as an independent company.
The $PADRE token — the token associated with the original Padre brand lost utility on the platform following the acquisition. This is a separate matter from the trading terminal itself and worth understanding on its own if you were involved with that token specifically — it isn't something this page covers, since we focus on the trading terminal rather than its former token.

WHY THIS PAGE STILL SAYS "PADRE"

Most traders searching for this terminal still use the name "Padre" out of habit, since that's the brand most content and referral links online still reference — including the URL trade.padre.gg itself, which hasn't changed. We use "Padre Terminal" on this site for that reason, while pointing out clearly that the current official product name is simply "Terminal."

Does the rename affect the URL or your account?

No — trade.padre.gg remains the trading URL, and existing wallets, connections, and cashback tracking carried over through the transition. If you connected a wallet before the rename, there's nothing you need to redo.
